European low-cost airlines departing from Ukraine

Ryanair 

The largest low-cost airline in Europe, connecting 37 countries and 220 airports. He comes from Ireland, and therefore many departures from Ireland and the UK. Often holds sales from a discount of -20% to tariffs at 9.99 euros. If you worry about tickets in advance, the trip may cost less than ground transport. All aircraft are Boeing 737-800s (and only one Boeing 737-700 airliner). LaudaMotion

On February 1, 2019, the low-cost airline LaudaMotion started operating in Ukraine. It is an airline whose 75% stake is owned by Ryanair. Prices for flights range from 9.99 euros, on average – 20 euros, and in Europe can start from 1 euro. So far, it flies from Ukraine (Boryspil) to several European countries. For example, Vienna can be a pleasant stop to continue traveling long European distances, but much cheaper than direct flights from Ukraine. Also, from Vienna comfortable bus for 17 euros you can get to Prague, but the road will take a little more than 4 hours.

Wizz Air

One of the largest low-cost airlines in Central Europe, uniting 40 countries and competing with Ryanair, is WizzAir.

Wizz Air owns the A320 family of aircraft, including the A320s and A321ceo. The company has a loyalty system – Wizz Air Discount Club, which is quite beneficial for frequent flights. Membership in the club during the year (not calendar, but from the moment of registration) provides a discount of at least 10 euros from the ticket for yourself and 1 person flying with you, as well as 5 euros from the cost of luggage. The cost of the loyalty card is 30 euros, and for 60 euros you can apply for group membership – for yourself + 5 companions. It is really very convenient to travel with a company of friends.

Hand luggage: by default, you can carry one piece of hand luggage free of charge - luggage with dimensions of 40x30x20 cm weighing up to 10 kg, for passengers with Priority Boarding - luggage with dimensions of 42x20x30 cm. Passengers purchasing WIZZ Priority are allowed to additionally carry a suitcase on wheels up to 55x40x23cm into the cabin. UIA

National Ukrainian carrier flying to 38 countries (Europe, the Middle World, Asia). The airline does not position itself as a low-cost airline, but provides low-cost fares if you buy tickets in advance (from six months or more before the flight).

Cabin baggage: one piece of hand luggage - baggage with dimensions of 55х40х20 cm weighing up to 7 kg or dimensions 55х35х15 cm weighing up to 5 kg depending on the flight.

An airline from Latvia, which often sells, but prices are higher than those of its predecessors. It flies almost all over Europe and to other destinations of the world (300 destinations), but almost all flights are operated with a transfer in Riga. Another Ukrainian airline, not a low-cost airline (charter airline), but promises the availability of tickets for low-cost fares to resort destinations.

Hand luggage: you can carry one piece of hand luggage in the sum of the dimensions 115 cm (for example, dimensions 55x40x20 cm) weighing up to 7 kg.

Condor

Low-cost version of Lufthansa centered in Frankfurt. With these airlines you can fly to exotic countries, such as the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, America. If you are interested in popular resorts in Europe, to which there are no connections from Ukraine, then check the version of this airline from Frankfurt, for example, the flight to the "mafia" capital starts from 38 euros. Most aggregators do not show this low-cost airline, but it is really interesting in terms of price offers.

Norwegian Air

The best low-cost airline in recent years: four times in the world and six times in Europe (until 2018), received this status not only for the newest aircraft with wi-fi on board, but also for punctuality. Norwegian flies from Northern Europe, there are often low-cost flights to the States: New York, Oakland, Los Angeles, Orlando. From Vilnius it is cheapest to get to Oslo and Stockholm, from Warsaw - to Barcelona (but still more expensive than with Ryanair), from Riga - to Oslo and Copenhagen. Sales are very common, and early booking prices are excellent.
