What Is insured and who can be the policyholder?
- What is insured? The object of insurance is the financial expenditure of an individual on purchasing a tourist trip. This includes the cost of air tickets, hotel accommodation, consular fees, and other paid tourist services.
- Who can be the Policyholder? A legally capable individual who plans to travel and enters into an Insurance Agreement on their own behalf or on behalf of any other legally capable individuals also planning to travel.
What Risks Are Covered?
We cover a wide range of unforeseen events that can lead to trip cancellation:
- Death of the Traveler or a family member.
- Serious health problems: Emergency surgeries, hospitalization for more than five (5) calendar days, or severe injuries to the Traveler or a family member. This is covered if there are medical prescriptions prohibiting travel and requiring treatment. In the absence of other direct legally capable relatives, it also applies if care for injured family members of the Traveler is necessary.
- Damage or destruction of the Traveler's immovable property (during the validity period of the Insurance Agreement) due to fire, explosion, natural disaster, or unlawful actions by third parties. This applies to cases where the resolution of such an event requires the Traveler's direct presence at the scene and/or objectively prevents the previously planned trip.
- Official declaration of the country of temporary stay (region, city) as a natural disaster zone.
- Airline cancellation of the flight the Traveler was scheduled to take, due to the closure of airspace over the country of temporary stay because of natural disasters.
- Refusal to grant the Traveler an entry visa to the country of temporary stay. This is possible provided that a complete package of documents required for obtaining a visa was submitted on time and prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Consulate (Embassy) of the country of temporary stay, and there was no prior visa refusal for the country of planned travel for all Travelers.
- Bankruptcy of the tour operator (provided the tour operator is a resident of Ukraine) during the validity period of the Insurance Agreement.
- Cancellation of the trip by a person traveling with the Traveler due to the aforementioned reasons.
