YOUR ACTIONS IN THE EVENT OF AN INSURED EVENT (COMPULSORY MTPLR)
1. Turn on the alarm and put an emergency stop sign.
2. Provide first aid to the victims and, if necessary, call ambulance workers.
3. Report an accident to the National Police of Ukraine (tel.102).You can also instruct the call of all necessary services to the Information Center of the insurance company.
REMEMBER!
Do not take the car from the scene of an accident, do not move items related to the accident until the arrival of the National Police of Ukraine. You can evacuate the car from the scene only after documenting the fact of an accident by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine and obtaining appropriate permission from them.
Employees of the National Police of Ukraine with your personal participation are obliged to draw up the following documents:
- protocol of the place of inspection of the accident;
- accident scheme;
- certificate of damage to the car with a detailed description of the damage.
4.Record vehicle registration numbers, names, telephone numbers, addresses of participants and eyewitnesses of a traffic accident, as well as data of employees of the National Police of Ukraine. Be sure to find out the availability of compulsory insurance policies of civil liability of land vehicle owners for road accident participants, write down the number, date of conclusion of the policy and the name of the insurance company.
5. Inform other participants in the accident that your liability is insured with the insurance company. Provide your policy number and phone number of the insurance company.
6. Call the information center of the insurance company to register the insured event and get qualified expert advice.
7. Do not agree to the offer of compensation for material damage by the party guilty of the accident without registration of the incident and inspection of the damaged vehicle by the relevant specialists (experts/employees of the service station) and drawing up a calculation of the costs of repairs.
8. Until the necessary documents are fully completed, do not make statements about the amount and terms of payment of compensation to a third party. These issues are resolved within the liability limit by the insurance company.
9. Within 3 (three) working days from the date of occurrence of the insured event, contact the insurance company for written execution of an application for the occurrence of an event that has signs of insurance.
REMEMBER! It is necessary to agree with the insurance company the time and place of an independent examination of the damaged vehicle.
